I don’t usually report site updates on this blog, but I’m making an exception because 1) there are three new documents, and 2) people who are reading this blog these days might be interested.
The additions are in the “Interchange” section, which archives my contributions to mailing lists and message boards. It should have been a blog, but I started it long before “blog” was a common word or concept (remember “weblog”?), and content management systems were primitive. Anyway:

I’m very interested! I don’t comment here much because I don’t have much to add, but I want to ask if general “appreciation” comments are annoying or a waste of your time.

Your “Interchange” section is full of interesting stuff. These three new posts no exception.
Especially what you’re saying about certain anti-sex work attitudes and rape culture. Is there a chance you have expanded on this subject or something similar?

toenails – thanks for your comment. I should probably have “Like” button so that I can get some positive feedbacks and people can express simple appreciation without having to post a comment… but in the meantime it’s good to know that someone is reading my stuff and likes it. So thanks :-)

On the first one, it’s worth noting that the rate of rape and sexual assault in Sweden has absolutely skyrocketed since the law was brought in (official statistics available at http://www.bra.se). Since by definition this is the reported rate, it’s conceivable that some of that increase is due to sex workers feeling more able to come forward, and some due to changed definitions of rape – but it’s hardly believable that all of it could be. It’s simply too great an increase.
Supporters of the Swedish law have been oddly silent about these figures. If they’d gone the other way I suspect we’d be hearing a lot more about them.
